In order to determine whether dust storm will affect Taiwanˇs air quality, the Environmental Protection Administration summarizes relevant data based on the paths of dust storms invading Taiwan in the past, including the ccurrence of the dust storms and atmospheric circulation information collection, air quality monitoring data analysis to establish a forecast of dust storm affecting air quality. According to analysis, the EPA will provide the latest dust storm information during the dust storm season from November to May of the following year.
